On the way back

1.4.10 – Wednesday – I’m writing this in a Los Angeles hotel, waiting for the flight to Tahiti and on to the boat.

I added a new feature to the blog and you can see it in the blogroll on the right: My position on Google Earth. This is a part of the service by Mailasail that I subscribed to, which will enable me to send and receive limited e-mails via Iridium. If everything works right,  whenever I send an e-mail containing my position to a weblog that this link will open, my position will automatically appear on the display, as well as any other message I will decide to post.

You can try it right away provided you have Google Earth installed on your computer.

The special thing here is that I will be able to put in info even when away from broadband access. I will use it as an additional blog, putting in short updates and giving the full story including pictures here, on the regular site.
