Leaving Fiji for New Zealand

25.10.10 – Monday – After looking at the weather we decided to go today. This will give us east south east winds at the beginning changing to easterlies perhaps with a north slant as we near NZ.  This is O.K for our intended course of 193 degrees or so. The wind are expected to be in the twenties, so it will be an interesting trip.

We will make “mini-posts” during the voyage – 1050 n.m to Opua – which will take 7 – 8 days.  You’ll be able to see them on “See my position on Google earth”.

Next full post will come from New Zealand,

Until then – Adios, Miki and Volkmar
